Welcome to Singapore! On behalf of the Organising Committee for the OGSS & SLS Endo Conference, we are glad that you have accessed our website. We are very excited to host this unique Conference in Singapore for Surgeons and Gynaecologists who are Laparoscopic Surgeons. The theme of the Conference is “Surgical Outcomes and Safety in MIS”. This is very appropriate as Endoscopic Surgery has been established in both Gynaecology and Surgery.

The Obstetrical & Gynaecological Society of Singapore (OGSS) and The Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons (SLS) of USA, have come together to jointly organise the OGSS & SLS Endoscopy Conference to be held in Singapore from 10 – 12 November 2011 at the Marina Bay Sands.

We have planned a comprehensive scientific programme of concurrent lectures in Gynaecology, Urology, Colorectal Surgery as well as Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS). There will also be symposium sessions on Robotic Surgery, MIS Safety and Development, Design of Skills Laboratories, Surgical Education, Anaesthesia and Nursing Components in MIS including the contributions of Laparoscopic Surgery in Gynaecology and General Surgery. Apart from the scientific sessions, there will be Pre- and Post- Conference Workshops on Robotics Surgery and Laparoscopic Surgery & Advanced Suturing. A unique feature of this Conference is the inclusion of a symposium conducted in Mandarin and another in Spanish. To encourage participation from our younger colleagues, three monetary prizes will be awarded for the Best Paper, Best Video and Best Poster in both Gynaecology and Surgery.

The Social and Hospitality Committee has planned an exciting programme for Accompanying Persons to give them a taste of Singapore’s attractions and local culture. Singapore is noted to be a food paradise catering to all tastes to blend with our multi-racial society. The Conference venue and hotel are located in Singapore’s state-of-the-art convention centre with enough attractions to meet all interests. There will be a Gala Dinner during the Conference.

This Conference will precede the 20^th World Orchid Conference in Singapore to be held from 14 to 23 November 2011, at the Gardens by the Bay which is across from the Marina Bay Sands. This will be an added incentive for those doctors who are orchid enthusiasts to attend our Conference.
